For the love of Ice...

I'm going to miss living on the Ice...I was grateful to share it with so many family members this season. My "Adventure grandma", dad, mom and step-dad all got to experience the beauty I have been living on for the past several summers.
This season I ventured under the ice with my good "friend" Ted. It was a once and a lifetime hike and was excited for the photo opportunities it brought.

Living on the ice brought different activities other then dog mushing. Such as ping pong! Ted was a pro at it as you can see...
It brought beautiful sunsets...
And beautiful colors into our Ice world...Until we meet again Ice...I'll miss you.

For the love of Alaska.

Off to Alaska I go again...Goodbye horrible 100 degree summers! And hello to another summer on ice. This year I will be working with Linwood Heli-Mush on Norris glacier in Juneau, AK. I am excited to work with new people that have that same love and passion I do for sled dogs. I am stoked to work the 2 hour tours for the Disney cruise! Theirs nothing better then working on a glacier with a team of dogs and children that are full of Disney excitement! I'll need to get Disney ears to sport during those tours...
I always get excited when I see this license plate in Arizona, now I get to see it every day.
Some fun shots of the dogs in the yard, I love these ones.
Charlie loved to catch anything you'd throw her way...She is being trained as a service dog under Linwood's kennel and care.

We await our departure to Juneau due to the bad weather. We want to make sure that there is enough support and equipment up on the glacier to take care of the 160-180 dogs we are bringing all the way from willow. The road trip will take us three days of driving through the Yukon to Haines, Alaska. Then its a long ferry ride tell we make it to Juneau. Cannot wait for the fun photos that will come out of the long road trip of dropping dogs and crossing over Canadian borders.
The classic dog picture that I fell in love with last season that is so easy to take because every dog is curious and wants to eat your camera...Always end up with nose spots on my lens at the end of the day...

Linwood's dog yard in Willow, AK. Its fun to see every mushers set up and how they run their yard.
Until we meet again, I am excited for the season to come and a new experience with a new set of amazing Alaskan's and sled dogs ready to mush all summer long on ice...
I will have lots of pictures this season thanks to my grandma, who got me a new Canon Rebel! :) Thanks again Adventure Grandma! For your love for Alaska and photos...

For the love of Prescott...

Went to Prescott to visit the my baby sister...
It started with a fun filled conversational brunch in downtown Prescott...
Followed by a beautiful walk around town with a friendly reminder...
Along with a museum and old book store search...

Until we meet again Prescott, treat my sister well and see you soon!
